Yesterday, Los Angeles Lakers head coach Mike D’Antoni revealed Steve Nash was official done for the 2014 season. ESPN sub-site Grantland has been following the future hall-of-famer’s road to recovery in The Finish Line series. The big story in recent weeks has been the hindrance of his large contract that’s affecting the future of the Lakers.
Nash has no plans to retire after formally revealing he wants to obtain the $9.7 million remaining from his 3-year contract in Los Angeles. While money may be the main issue, Nash isn’t ready to retire his jersey just yet after 18 long seasons (nearly half his life), and is having a hard time with putting the NBA chapter in his life.
