Instant title contention
The deal is finally official and now Rajon Rondo is now part of the Dallas Mavericks. He joins the likes of Dirk Nowitzki, Monta Ellis, Chandler Parsons and Tyson Chandler as part of their starting five, instantly making them favorites for the NBA title this season.
During a press conference, Rick Carlisle introduced the newest member of his team and explained why he thinks he hasn’t reached his ceiling, adding to the fact he will be a big defensive stopper for the Mavs. As you may already know, the Western Conference is stacked with elite point guards and Rondo brings that defensive prowess to keep up with them on a consistent basis.
Mark Cuban also had a few words to say, as well as Rajon himself, who is excited to join the team of future Hall-of-Famer’s. Now we just need to see how they do on the court.
