For the first time in a while, there’s legit excitement surrounding the NBA Draft. With Steph Curry and his Golden State Warriors defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers just last week for their first NBA title in over 40 years, the off-season has finally started. The major storyline regarding tonight is whether the Lakers will draft D’Angelo Russell, Jahlil Okafor or trade the pick to the Sacramento Kings for DeMarcus Cousins. Vlade Divac and the Kings organization definitely don’t want to trade away their superstar big man – especially to their long-standing purple and gold rival. Phil Jackson officially starts the recreation process of the New York Knicks tonight and is looking to land one of the three stars if the Philadelphia 76ers decline on Russel or Okafor with the no. 3 pick.
