It looks like the New York Jets are trying to boost their receiving core by making a trade with the Seattle Seahawks for Percy Harvin. The Jets will send a conditional mid-round pick to Seattle and he will join the team, as soon as he passes a physical.

Seattle went on to win the Super Bowl last year practically without Harvin, who was out most of the season due to injury. The Jets now swallow up his $41.5 million contract over the next 4 years, in hopes this brings them more offensive firepower to help Geno Smith, since Eric Decker has been underwhelming after coming from Denver during free agency. In just five games this season, Harvin has 133 yards receiving and 92 yards rushing with one touchdown.

Their are rumbles around the league that Harvin was having problems inside the Seahawks locker room recently, which ultimately started the quiet trade talks behind-the-scenes, if they got the right offer. Seattle will now look towards 2nd-round pick Paul Richardson and 4th-rounder Kevin Norwood to fill in for Harvin at wide receiver.
