Seahawks Go Beast Mode In Overtime To Beat The Broncos

The Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks have not faced each other since the Super Bowl back in February, and we all know how that turned out. This time around the Broncos wanted revenge and they spent all offseason retooling their defense and adding new weapons on offense, to come back even stronger.

The game started out as a defensive battle with both teams having multiple three and outs and only scoring on field goals at first. The Seahawks would go on to score the first touchdown and take a 10-3 lead. The Broncos did not score a touchdown the whole first half, and went into the locker room trailing 17-3.

The Broncos defense came out strong in the third quarter, taking Marshawn Lynch back into his own end zone for a safety, and taking the score to 17-5. In five quick plays, Peyton then threw a touchdown to Julius Thomas to make the score 17-12. The Seahawks would get another field goal and push the score to 20-12, leaving Peyton and the Broncos only 59 seconds and zero time outs.

Peyton lead the Broncos all the way down the field, and hit Jacob Tamme for a 26 yard touchdown to bring the team to within two points. Then Peyton completed the two point conversion on a pass to Damaryius Thomas and tied the game up with only 18 seconds left. The Seahawks would knee, and take the game to overtime.

Seattle won the coin toss and received the ball first in overtime. Wilson and the Seahawks went right at the Broncos defense, getting all the way down to the six yard line in 12 plays. Wilson then handed the ball to Marshawn Lnych, who went beast mode and broke a tackle on his way to the game winning touchdown.

Peyton Manning finished the game throwing 31 for 49, 303 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. On the other side, Russell Wilson finished 24 for 34, 258 yards, two touchdowns and one interception also.

Both teams fought hard to the end and even with the Broncos losing to the Seahawks, they did prove that they could at least compete and make it a game.
