Russell Westbrook Jumps Over Enes Kanter on Alley-Oop

It’s no surprise to see a high flying alley-oop over an opponent for the posterization, but it’s rare to see it when it happens over your own teammate.

That’s exactly what happened on Sunday night when Russell Westbrook went beastmode (yet again) on the Phoenix Suns. On a fast break opportunity, D.J. Augustin threw up the lob in Enes Kanter and Westbrook’s direction and they both jumped at the same time to try to grab it, but Russ had that much hop to catch it over the top of Kanter and throw down the slam.

The Suns continue to lose and are now sliding farther down the Western Conference standings and out of contention for the playoffs, while the Oklahoma City Thunder maintain the No. 8 seed. It’ll be a tough road for them without Kevin Durant, but Westbrook looks determined to carry the team on his back as far as he can.
