Big Ben gets insurance with the latest signing for Pittsburgh

Last year, the one of the major rare wins the New York Jets encountered last year was their victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. With Bruce Gradkowski out with a dislocated finger, Mike Tomlin and the Steelers have decided to give veteran QB Michael Vick a stint on their team as their official back-up to Ben Roethlisberger.

Seeing his fellow Virginia native show signs of still having something in the tank, convinced Tomlin to quickly sign the guy he initially wanted a few seasons ago. The Steelers enter this season completely healthy for the first time in years and have all of the tools to potentially make a deep playoff run. While it’s not expected that Vick will see time, due to the durability of Big Ben, Pittsburgh brings in a12-year veteran to motivate the locker room and provide a few downs later on in the season – pending if they run away with the AFC North division.
