Pau Gasol Out At Least 6 Weeks With Partial Tear Of His Plantar Fascia

Bad news for the Lakers today as Pau Gasol has partially torn his Plantar Fascia and will miss a minimum of six weeks. This is a big blow to the team that has already been struggling and without Dwight Howard for some of the season due to an ailing shoulder and an injured back. Pau sustained the injury in last night’s game against the Brooklyn Nets when he came down on his foot awkwardly and said he heard a pop.

This also hurts any chances of the team trading Gasol, as they can’t trade an injured player. Some key role players such as Earl Clark and Antawn Jamison will now have to step up to fill the void left in the lineup.

What do you think of this blow to the Lakers? Will it submarine their already sinking season? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section.
