Melvin Gordon stiff arm’s his way past Bowling Green for five TD’s
Wisconsin’s junior running back, Melvin Gordon rushed for career high with 253 yards and five touchdowns today against Bowling Green. The entire team actually rushed for a new Big Ten record of 644 yards, on their way to destroying Falcons 68-17.
Gordon came into the year as a Heisman hopeful, but had a terrible game last week only totaling 38 yards. Even though the game started out as shaky as last week, with Gordon fumbling on his first carry, he quickly stepped it up and by halftime already amassed to 179 yards and four touchdowns. Gordon set out to have a big game today and said that he was motivated by hearing that people were doubting him and his abilities.
