R.I.P. Anthony Mason
The basketball world loses another great today, as Anthony Massive has passed away from congestive heart failure. The former NBA player succumbed to his condition, after suffering a massive heart attack early this month, which put him in a local Manhattan hospital. His immediate family initially had aspirations for his survival; but things eventually got worse, as he continued to fight for his life. Throughout his NBA tenure, Mason will be best remembered for his time alongside Pat Riley, Patrick Ewing, John Starks and Charles Oakley of the 1990s Knickerbockrs – who were the one team Michael Jordan and Chicago Bulls fans dreaded playing every year.
Mason is survived by his two sons, both of which who followed in their father’s footsteps playing college basketball.
