NBA Suspends James Harden For Kicking LeBron James

Cleveland Cavaliers v Houston Rockets

Below the belt to the jewels

Yesterday’s game between the Houston Rockets and Cleveland Cavaliers was intense, to say the least. Both teams were playing extra physical and ended up on receiving ends of scuffles, two of which involved LeBron James. There were a total of five technical fouls, one flagrant and 16 total fouls during the span of the Rockets’ 105-103 win over the Cavs, so that should give you clear indication at the type of intensity both teams were playing in.

The foul that Houston will have to pay for came in the third quarter when The MVP Beard kicked King James in the groin after diving for a loose ball. He was called for a flagrant 1 immediately, but the NBA decided to suspend him for one game after the fact.

Harden did not believe he would get disciplined by the league, but now he will miss Tuesday’s game against the Eastern Conference leading Atlanta Hawks.

“Obviously that’s not a basketball play. Obviously the league will probably take a look at it. I have no idea why he would do that, but two competitors just trying to go at it and he won this one.” – LeBron James

The Rockets have won five straight, while the Cavs drop their second in a row, which could have put them ahead of the Chicago Bulls in the standings.
