NBA Game Of The Week: Heat/Thunder Preview

Miami Heat at Oklahoma City Thunder
Time: 8:00 PM PM (ET) | Tonight
Network: TNT

Yea, there is a little basketball game going on tonight. Heat vs Thunder will face-off for some ultimate regular season bragging rights. Lebron and the Miami crew head into OKC and they are riding an incredible wave that some are calling one of the best stretches in history. Kevin Durant and company are ready to hold their own, as they have a mighty big chip on their shoulder and have to show the NBA they can hang with the big dogs.

This is the final night of play before the league heads into the All-Star Weekend festivities and it is never a good look to go out on a losing note. The keys for each team in this one are pretty simple: For the Thunder they must figure out a way to slow down Lebron as much as possible, which at this point seems impossible to do. If the Thunder can somehow do that and play their type of offensive game with the crowd behind them and they have a chance to pull this one out.

For Miami, they have to keep doing what they have been over the past two weeks. Give the rock to Lebron and let him make the magic happen. His six game streak of over 30 points and shooting 60% has ESPN ready to explode with MJ comparisons, but what matters most to him is that the Heat keep winning games.

No doubt it should be a slug-fest tonight in this rematch of last years NBA Finals. We would love nothing more than to see an intense physical matchup that even gets a little testy at times. Maybe that is what the Thunder need to do, stop showing respect to the Heat and take it to them. Enjoy the game tonight, as more than likely it will be another preview of another Finals series come June.
