Mike Tyson Discusses How UFC Has Hurt Boxing

Iron Mike shares brief thoughts on boxing’s current state

Earlier this weekend Manny Pacquiao revealed he thought Ronda Rousey could beat Floyd Mayweather, Jr. in an MMA fight. Mike Tyson was recent guest on Huff Post Live and jokingly admitted she could take him down as well, he went to share his thoughts on the King of UFC. Tyson soon was questioned whether MMA has overtaken boxing and responded to fighters not being properly booked (see: 5 Reasons Why “Premier Boxing Champions” Is Resurrecting Boxing). Iron Mike said UFC has the best fighters fighting each other every month and boxing is currently lacking that. He closed out with saying boxing should have Brandon Ríos, Timothy Bradley and Keith Thurman (also Marcos Maidana when he drops back down in weight) all fighting each other – giving fans the best experience they can get every quarter.
