Nearly 8 years and one NBA Championship later; the greatest owner in sports, Mark Cuban made his long-awaited return to Howard Stern Show. Owner of the Dallas Mavericks, Landmark Theatres, and Magnolia Pictures, and chairman of AXS TV (formerly HD-Net) talks with the king of radio about his recent success including purchasing a 90K Champagne bottle the night he won the championship.
Upon going back to Miami in 2011, a person told Mark “You know what we do with Cuban’s in Miami? We Smoke them.” Cuban wanted to shove it up the cities ass partying with the title along with his 90K bottle.
The same year, Cuban also was in talks for landing the Los Angeles Dodgers before Magic Johnson eventually won the bid, he also touched on MLB owners not wanting him in the league because of their fear of players wanting to go to his team with no Salary cap in comparison to the NBA.
Coincidentally, American Airlines use to run a lifetime program for traveling across the country at any time only for $145K as Cuban purchased passes during his 20’s and had guaranteed seating for the company to remove one person from the flight if it was full. Before he had the fame, he used one of his passes one time when Magic Johnson was on a flight and the Airlines ironically removed Magic from the plane for Cuban.
