Now that another year of college basketball is in the books, it is time to see which players are making the jump to the NBA. With freshman standout Andrew Wiggins already declaring, eyes now shift to some of the other studs from a potentially very deep draft class. One of those very talented players happens to be Oklahoma State guard, Marcus Smart, who has officially declared himself eligible for the NBA draft in June.

Smart surprised everyone when he didn’t declare for the NBA last year, in a class where he could have potentially gone in the Top 3. By coming out this year in a much deeper draft class, there is no telling where Smart could eventually land, but early projections have him at around the Top 5 range.

There is no doubting Smart’s abilities on the court, but he undoubtedly took a step back compared to last year. A lot of that most likely had to do with more attention being on the team and thus more expectations to win. His game should translate perfectly to the NBA and he even may be one of the most NBA ready players in the draft. With Smart heading for the NBA, all eyes now turn to Joel Embiid and Jabari Parker, as the basketball world awaits their decisions on whether they are heading to the NBA or not.
