Pacman is out here on the Kobe Bryant leave of absence

Only days following his loss to Floyd Mayweather in what was considered the biggest fight of this generation, news has come out that Manny Pacquiao will undergo right shoulder surgery for a slight tear in his rotator cuff. For those following the fight, it was reported that Manny went into the fight injured and was not granted anti-inflammatory medication to help alleviate some of the pain beforehand.

The official diagnosis by orthopedic surgeon Dr. Neal ElAttrache is that Pacman has a has a rotator cuff tear and he will be out between 9-12 months, depending on his rehab.

As we all know, Pacquiao lost the welterweight championship to Mayweather on Saturday night by a unanimous decision, with most saying his offensive prowess was diminished compared to a few years ago. Part of that could have been age, but at least some of it now, could be determined by his injury, which he suffered in training days prior to the fight.

Should Manny retire after this or does he have any slugs left in him?
