The RB thinks it may be sooner

LeSean McCoy‘s tenure with the Buffalo Bills has not gotten off on the right foot since being traded from the Philadelphia Eagles back in March. The running back has been suffering from a nagging hamstring injury that has bothered him for much of the season and was reaggravated in practice in Week 3. Acording to doctors, the official diagnosis has been identified as a Grade 2 pull.

Typically, that type of injury requires a 3-4 week timetable for recovery, but McCoy sounds optimistic that he may return to the lineup sooner. The Bills have officially declared him out for Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans, but have not disclosed how much more time he will miss.

This puts the depleted Buffalo backfield against the wall, as rookie Karlos Williams suffered a concussion this past week and is going through protocol. That leaves the Bills with the likes of Boobie Dixon, Cierre Wood and Boom Herron to command the committee this upcoming week.

“It’s all about how you feel, how you feel each day, with treatments and rehabs. So the injury may say that, but everybody is different. Everybody’s body responds differently. I’m a quick healer, so I should be fine. I doubt it will take four weeks for me to get back.” – LeSean McCoy

The Bills currently sit at 2-2 and third in the AFC East, losing to the New England Patriots and New York Giants in Week 2 and Week 4.
