Earlier this week, Phil Jackson formally joined the New York Knicks as the new president of basketball operations. While his significant other Jeanie Buss shared her thoughts on Phil’s LA departure, she wasn’t the only one purple and gold that wanted to discuss Phil’s big apple arrival. Kobe Bryant has been very vocal about the direction of the Lakers this year, but took time from his rehab regimens to express thoughts and expectations and what Phil can do for Knickerbockers. The Mamba and Gasol both were saddened by the news knowing they would never work with Phil again in Los Angeles, but felt him going to Knicks would be great for players receiving mentorship, as well as the coaches.
