In the networks new UNPLUGGED series, the Black Mamba sat down with ESPN on-air personality Jemele Hill to discuss his purple and gold legacy, as well as his impact on the game of basketball worldwide.
One of the biggest takeaways from the conversation was revealing he actually made a player cry during practice and said the player at the time should want to reconsider his purpose in life. While Kobe Bryant has friends, he even admitted being a great friend is something that he will never be in his life. The best quote from the interview was the Mamba saying “friends come and go but banners hang forever.”
