Kobe Bryant and Shaq Discuss Lakers Fallout & Regrets

Los Angeles Lakers fans have been struggling with the fact that the team is trash and has been for the past few seasons since Dwight Howard left to the Houston Rockets. Just admit it, Lakers fans are spoiled. They’re used to seeing the team win and make it to the playoffs. They’re used to seeing the team win championships. This ‘destroy and rebuild’ process has been going on for way too long and fans aren’t used to seeing the Lakers with a Top 3 pick in the NBA Draft. They’re not used to seeing the squad lose over 75% of their games throughout the regular season. You can’t even catch a Lakers game on national broadcast anymore unless you have NBA League Pass.

That’s how bad things have gotten in Los Angeles.

Worse of all, the only time the Lakers are being talked about in the media is about how horrible they’re doing, to give a Kobe Bryant injury update or when they take it back to the glory years.

Hopefully, things turn around for L.A. with the addition of D’Angelo Russell, the return of Julius Randle, plus All Rookie first team rising star Jordan Clarkson in the backcourt flourishing for his sophomore season. Plus the young squad that should carry the team forward throughout the next couple of seasons. Are they playoff team? Fuck to the no Weezy, but they have potential.

To make matters worse, Shaq and Kobe just recently got up on The Big Podcast With Shaq to talk about ‘what could have been,’ revealing shit that Lakers fans don’t need to hear during the down turn. The Big Diesel revealed he didn’t want to be traded out of LA in the first place and his feud with Kobe was bullshit and shouldn’t have happened.

The two also reminisced about the internal turmoil and how they handled things then, compared to how they should have handled things looking back at the situation.

It probably sting the most to think that if these two would have worked things out, the dynasty could have continued and they would both have more rings on their goddamn fingers. At the end of the day, the two won championships without each other and loved happily ever after.
