Kevin Durant Becomes 2nd Youngest Player To Score 15,000 Points

Second to… Lebron James

Kevin Durant has another accomplishment he came second in: Reaching 15,000 points. The Oklahoma City Thunder forward reached the milestone, by becoming the second youngest to ever reached that mark last night (it took him 26 years and 78 days), with their win against the Sacramento Kings.

The points came off a dish from Russell Westbrook, as Durant took a stepped back shot over Rudy Gay and put the Thunder up 9-0 in the first quarter.

KD missed the first half of the season with a fractured foot and his team started out 3-12 during that stretch. Upon his return, OKC has won eight of the last nine games and are only one spot away from the 8th seed in the very competitive Western Conference.
