Trade season continues around the NFL, with now the Chicago Bears offloading Brandon Marshall from their organization to the New York Jets in a trade Friday morning.

After hiring John Fox, the coach was determined to clean up the locker room going into next season, with Marshall being one of the players they put up on the trade block going into free agency. Not only will this free up cap space, but the organization believes it will get rid of the distractions he comes along with. The Jets will be sending a 5th round pick to Chicago in exchange for the receiver.

Last year Marshall was plagued by injuries, ending his season with fractured ribs and punctured lung, while also sitting out games with leg injuries.

Brandon now joins Eric Decker and Percy Harvin as viable options in the wide receiver department, to help developing quarterback Geno Smith going into next season.

The trade will not be official until free agency starts on Tuesday at 4pm ET.
