The MVP shake and bake
James Harden has been playing like the Most Valuable Player in the NBA this past year for the Houston Rockets, and he showed it tonight against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Not only because of this highlight reel, but because he landed the fourth triple double of his career, finishing the game with 31 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists.
The play of the night came against Ricky Rubio, who was left rolling on the court scrambling after Harden put the moves on him. It was his bad anyway, he was trying to pick the pocket and went after the steal twice, but a few James crossovers is all it took for him to leave Ricky sitting on his side, while Harden completed the step-back 3-pointer in his face. The play brought the hometown crowd roaring to their feet, in awe of what had just happened.
In related Timberwolves news, the youngsters are already terrified of Kevin Garnett joining the locker room, with Zach Lavine offering him his old locker back and the team ready to take the punishment for losing from the future Hall-of-Famer.
