For nearly 20 years, Craig Sager has been reporting from the sidelines in his flamboyant and colorful over-the-top suits. The legendary sideline reporter was diagnosed with leukemia last April and missed the entire playoffs. TNT Basketball hasn’t been the same but his family at Turner Sports has been behind him 100 percent.
The network put together a tribute video, with Sager opening up candidly for the first time on TV about his battle with cancer and receiving a bone marrow transplant from his son, Craig Sager, Jr. TNT analysts Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny Smith, Charles Barkley and host Ernie Johnson – along with Kevin Garnett all detail experience Sager has had on their lives thus far.
