Giants Andre Brown Out For The Season With Broken Fibula

Last night as the Giants defeated the Green Bay Packers ending their 5-game winning streak, they immediately moved back into the elite discussions with a big victory that saw Eli out-duel Mr. Rodgers throwing nearly 300 yards and three touchdown passes in a 38-10 blowout. The bad news however for the Big Blue was that their backup RB Andre Brown would be out of action until next year with a broken fibula.

Last night, Brown rushed for 64-yards in 13 snaps as he was injured on his largest gain of the night with 16 yards. Brown had established himself this season to many fans as more than just the back-up guy but more so a legitimate threat to teams in the early downs. Ahmad Bradshaw who’s been dealing with a foot injury this entire year will be called upon to play more downs now as the Giants are really making a run at defending their title this year gaining momentum and chemistry heading into the last month of regular season football action.

This year, the Giants went with a new route since releasing Brandon Jacobs last spring with Ahmad Bradshaw as their one and only starting RB as both Andre Brown and David Wilson were fighting for back-up responsibilities. But after last night’s game, there was no question Brown would be handling those duties as the Giants had their third best rushing game last night against the Packers with nearly 150 yards.

With Andre out now, David Wilson will have to be big for the Giants to give them leeway to not rush Ahmad back to soon with an extensive amount of imminent playtime.
