When hip-hop stars like 2 Chainz have noticed the baffling ESPN Player Ranking system is flawed in the past, then it’s something to take into account when the masses pay attention. If you thought Kobe Bryant’s no. 40 rank was blasphemous last season, his upcoming season ranking has reached an all-time low on the list from the 24-hour sports media giant.
According to ESPN, 92 players are better than the Black Mamba across the league, which we find hard to believe on depth charts outside of the limited superstars on each team. While Kobe doesn’t publicly address these list, they all know he’s paying attention, which is almost as bad for them – than it will be for his opponents occasionally during the 2016 season.
