“The U” Sequel & Randy Moss Highlight 30 for 30 Volume II finale

In a few weeks, ESPN Networks will be celebrating the 5th anniversary of their popular 30 for 30 documentary series. Since its inception to the sports world in 2009, it’s been one of the most talked about shows in all of TV. Known for opening light to lots of previously under-the-radar stories in the world of sports, athletes have even partaken in the series speaking first hand on events they’ll never forget.

The season will pilot on October 7th for a brief six-week run, starting with Playing for the Mob. The 1979 Boston College point shaving scandal is finally documented, which Ray Liotta will narrate the story on how mobster Henry Hill (also portrayed in Goodefellas) orchestrated one of the biggest fixes in sports history.

Other standout episodes we’ll be checking out for is The U Part 2 serving as the first ever 30 for 30 sequel and Randy Moss in Rand University. The U Part 2 will focus on the current state of the team after its 1980s and how its still trying to recover from recent NCAA sanctions and scandals of illegal activity.
