Dwyane Wade stays home in new deal!

After weeks of a rumored rift between Dwyane Wade and Miami Heat management, the tension has finally ended. The three-time NBA Champion just took to Instagram to confirm he would be resigning a deal to stay home Miami for at least one more season. According to The Associate Press, Wade has agreed to a 1-year, $20 million deal – which is $4 million more than he was originally set to make for the upcoming 2016 season.

Over the last decade, Wade has taken constant pay cuts to help Micky Arison and Pat Riley work around the cap-room alongside LeBron James and Chris Bosh, but he’s finally gotten his proper pay for one season heading forward. Not agreeing to a long-term deal is obviously a huge risk for the 33-year-old, but he’s waiting until the salary cap increase and TV deals kick in next summer for a higher pay day once again.

At the present, Miami is a lock to make the post-season but their health remains the biggest cause for concern with Chris Bosh coming back from blood clots and other various injuries throughout the roster.
