Should Wade stay in Miami or take his talents elsewhere?

After taking numerous pay cuts to give the Miami Heat financial relief to acquire quality talent, Dwyane Wade has decided those days are over and he’s looking at one final pay day. President Pat Riley and Micky Arison are open to bringing back the face of the franchise and have learned D-Wade has opted out of his $16-year option he was scheduled to make for the 2016 season. The three-time NBA Champion was originally looking for a 3-year/$60 million contract, but will likely settle for long-term security at likely $45 million – giving him $15 million per year until the summer of 2016 when he reaches the age of 36. With Loul Deng opting in to his contract to make $10 million this summer, Heat management will have a busy free agency ahead beginning this Wednesday.

On the other hand, Flash reunite with his former South Beach cohort, LeBron James, for another run together – this time in Ohio for the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavs are set to re-sign their core of the King and Kevin Love this free agency and the addition of Wade would only solidify their repeat as the Eastern Conference Champions next May before facing whoever comes out west. Whether or not the relationship with Wade and the Heat has deteriorated remains to be seen, as those questions will be answered in the coming days.
