Watch highlights from D-Rose’s playoff return!
Three years ago, Derrick Rose started a nightmare with tearing his ACL in game of the 2012 NBA Playoffs against the Philadelphia 76ers. This injury-plague continued through 2014, resulting in superstar’s career being put in jeopardy from multiple reconstructive knee and ligament surgeries in recent years.
Even with a brief meniscus clean up last February, Rose wasn’t confident in his legs until making his grand return to post-season action Saturday evening. In their 2015 post-season home opener against the Milwaukee Bucks, D-Rose would showcase his signature acrobatic abilities from years past, while not thinking about an injury to pour in 23 points and 7 assist for his first playoff game in over three years.
Although Jimmy Butler would lead all scorers with 25 points, Joakim Noah and the rest of Chicago Bulls nation got a huge sigh of relief seeing their former franchise player in elite level action to start the playoffs.
