It’s been a productive off-season for New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony. Not only has he been working on his game for the upcoming season, but he invited some of his teammates to join him for a mini-camp in Puerto Rico as well. His goal: to bond with the team and show them places they probably may never have seen before, hopefully to boost the morale of the squad heading into the upcoming season. A little bit of work and play at the same time.

‘Melo has a special place for Puerto Rico and it shows through this video. He says he visits as much as he can and has even gone as far as purchasing a soccer team, which will come to fruition in 2016. He also visits places like La Perla and tries to get the soak in the atmosphere, because he wants to inspire the country when most have nothing.

As you can see in the video, he meets with rapper Tempo, some family he has up there and then practices hard with his teammates, hoping to spark a family bond between them. Young prospects like Cleanthony Early and Jerian Grant all showed up, as well as No. 4 pick Kristaps Porzingis.
