The podfather (as Jalen Rose and David Jacoby call him), is back after an uncalled hiatus from ESPN. Bill Simmons was let go from the sports network, but was picked up by HBO so he could develop uncensored and unfiltered verticals and before we get those on the cable network, he’s back on the podcast side of things with The Bill Simmons Podcast.
As you’d imagine, he’s been brewing with thoughts during his sabbatical and ready to let off the AK spray in the coming months towards everyone. He isn’t shy about sending shots to ESPN in the first episode, while talking about the NFL, #Deflategate, and President Trump throughout the course of two hours this week. He promises to poke fun at some of the on-air talent over at ESPN and says he loves his new-found ‘freedom of speech’ and ‘creative people’ (two of his favorite things).
