Barry Bonds Has Felony Obstruction Performance Enhancement Drugs Conviction Overturned

Bonds has been declared a clean man!

Since 2003, Barry Bonds has been under investigation for illegal steroid usage and even received a felony for an obstruction of justice conviction in 2011. After having his previous conviction sent to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in San Francisco, Bonds was finally cleared Wednesday of all charges involving steroid usage, lying about using or any ties to illegal activity. With court proceedings finally behind him, baseball’s home run king can finally vote, run for public office, use legal guns and travel without restrictions.

While his name will be forever linked to performance enhancement drugs following this appeal, Bonds will likely be hired by the Giants as a full-time employee within the next few years. However, his entrance to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N.Y. isn’t likely to change anytime soon (like Roger Clemens), but holding the 762 home run record, as well as most homers for a single-season with 73 during 2001, Barry’s suspicions for P.E.D. usage among voters will be too much for some to vote him in after this exoneration.
