During 1991 and 1992, the Duke Blue Devils men’s basketball program generated some of the biggest dislike from not only fans of college hoops, but sports as a whole. At the time, Mike Krzyzewski won two consecutive titles led by arguably his greatest player at Cameron Indoor Stadium of all time, Christian Laettner.
A few years ago, Michigan’s Fab 5 explained their on-court hatred for the pretty boy in blue and Grant Hill calling him overrated pussy and bitch, among other derogatory claims before playing against him on the court. ESPN Films decided to put together an entire documentary for the 30 for 30 series, I Hate Christian Laettner, giving a complete story beyond the polarizing persona of the man himself.
