2015 NBA All-Star Starters Announced

Meet the starters for the 2015 NBA All-star game!

For the first time in 17 years, the NBA All-Star game returns to Madison Square Garden. Tonight, TNT’s “Inside the NBA” has finally revealed the long-awaited starters for the big game. In a shocker, LeBron James lost his lead as the number one vote getter to the league’s best shooter, but did receive enough votes to make his 12th appearance.

Joining him in the Eastern Conference this year will be John Wall, Pau Gasol, Kyle Lowry and hometown kid, Carmelo Anthony. Atlanta Hawks head coach, Mike Budenholzer claimed his stake to patrol the sidelines of the blue team, following an impressive 35-8 record – currently best in the league.

The Western Conference sees familiar faces of Kobe Bryant and Blake Griffin of Los Angeles; but joining them this year as starters are Marc Gasol, Anthony Davis and Stephen Curry (leading vote getter). Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr will be on the sidelines for the left coast. Earlier today, it was revealed Kobe Bryant suffered a torn right rotator cuff, which his play in the game could be in jeopardy.

James Harden of the Houston Rockets, who’s been having an MVP-like season, is expected to be his replacement. The All-Star reserves are set to be revealed next Thursday, which will reveal who ultimately got snubbed from the big showcase. The likes of Russell Westbrook, Kyrie Irving, DeMarcus Cousins, Damian Lillard, Jimmy Butler, Klay Thompson and potentially Kevin Durant are expected to be among those named next week.
