Wiz Khalifa Reflects on ‘Kush & Orange Juice’ 5 Years Later

T.G.O.D. sits down with MTV to talk classic mixtape

Five years ago to the date, Wiz Khalifa released his timeless project, Kush & Orange Juice. MTV News recently caught up with the Taylor Gang or Die rapper to discuss the project’s impact on the genre of hip-hop 5 years later. While he made nine projects before K&O, Wiz touched on being a fan of classic hip-hop and wanted to branch out from what was the norm at the time to deliver some rider and smoker’s music. Being in Pittsburgh, Khalifa opened up on filling a void in the game at the time, using his ordinary lifestyle to bring music to what fans have labeled as his classic. Watch more from the interview above with Wiz reflecting on the mixtape five years later.
