What’s Your Favorite Track From August Alsina’s “Testimony” Album?

AugustAlsina-TestimonyAlbum

New Orleans singer-songwriter August Alsina has come a long way from uploading clips of himself covering and remixing his favorite tunes on YouTube. With little to no buzz at all, Alsina released his breakthrough mixtape The Product in April of 2012, which had people talking and ultimately grabbed him a record deal with Def Jam. Following his signing to the label, he released two more mixtapes that featured plenty of dope tracks.

At the top of last year he released his chart topping single “I Luv This Shit” alongside label-mate Trinidad Jame$, which has since been labeled certified gold by the RIAA. Since the success of that record things have been moving in an upward fashion for Alsina, as he’s been able to make his mark in the game and link up with some of the top players in the industry and be apart of tours that seen him perform in venues across the US.

Now that things are for sure going his way, it was finally time for him to deliver his debut album to the masses with the release of Testimony. The album is highlighted with the singles “Ghetto” with Yo Gotti, “Numb” with B.o.B and Yo Gotti and “Make It Home” with Young Jeezy. Other features on the album come from Rick Ross, Pusha T, Fabolous, Trey Songz and Chris Brown.

Now that we’ve allowed a few days to pass in order to let the project sink in a little, myself and the rest of the OS staff have decided to take some time out of our day to highlight some of our favorite tracks from the debut LP. Check after the jump to see our picks and leave your favorite track(s) in the comments.
