Remy Ma is finally home.

In 2008, Remy Ma was sentenced to serve an eight year bid in prison after being found guilty of assault and weapons charges over a shooting of friend Makeda Barnes-Joseph. The two were reportedly arguing over money after a party. After six and a half years behind bars, Remy is finally free and has been released from the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility for Women as of today.
She was reported to be home yesterday, but a disciplinary issue surrounding her prison phone call last week delayed her release. She spent the last week of her time in prison in solitary confinement, but now Remy is finally free!
In an interview with Angie Martinez last week, she talked about how much Papoose held her down while she was locked behind bars, something she did not expect. The couple got married while she was imprisoned and she realized life will be different once she’s released. She mentioned he’s a real one and he supported her more than some family members and friends and nobody could ever take that away.
We can assure Remy Ma will be recording new music once she gets settled back into life in New York and she will be exploring options as far as music when the time comes. She is ready to get back in the booth and prove why she’s still got it.
