Watch A Short Documentary on DJ Dahi

DJ Dahi has been producing music for longer than just “Money Trees” and “Worst Behavior,” but those two records were clearly what put him on the map officially. Director Lorenzo de Guia wanted to die deeper into the producer and get a better feel for what he stands for and how he creates music, so he talked to him about those two records and some of the influences he’s had maturing into a platinum producer.

He names 2pac, Biggie, Timbaland, Dr. Dre and Pharrell as people he looks up to nowadays, yet he gets a lot of influence from other genres like Jazz and indie rock. Who would he dream of working with one day? The answer might surprise you because the artist isn’t even Rap. It’s Radiohead.

Dahi also revealed he speaks through his production more than anything and he’s always trying to top his sound, rather than recreate it.

Learn about the producer through his mini documentary above.
