V.A. singer-songwriter Trey Songz made his return to The World’s Most Dangerous Morning Show,” The Breakfast Club. The conversation opened up with his emotional ballads and club songs, as Trey felt connection on ballads last longer in the end, but club records get the cash register ringing initially. His recent performance with 50 Cent was brought to the table, which led to discussing the two collaborating together on “Smoke,” but revealed the two originally recorded the track for Dr. Dre three years ago and still have a few records stashed away they’ve done in the past. Things then transitioned to bringing up fellow R&B artist August Alsina, who previously had an issue with Trey, but he went to confirm the two have since resolved their problems and have moved forward to support each other.

DJ Envy and Charlamagne drew a comparison between the two, which they joked Trey being a live wire back in the day but became a different man when he cut off the cornrows. Hit the jump to watch full interview discussing his new album Trigga, R&B and Hip-Hop being synonymous, leaving the club scene for touring and more.
