While fans of TLC have not had a choice but to play old material from the ’90s R&B trio, it sounds like the duo of Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas and Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins are in plans of recording a new album soon. Not only that, but the two will be producing a VH1 biopic of their own and head out on tour. When asked about what to expect, T-Boz said:
“We’re going to still sound like TLC, evolving to whatever level we need to be at this time. We’ve always grown throughout the years and have always had our own sound. That’s what works for us and we don’t have to worry about anybody else. When that stops working, maybe we’ll hang up the towel, but that still works. We have to get into the studio and start feeling how we feel. You have to find yourself first and then you find the path and then you have an album before you know it.”
This will mark the trio’s first album since 3D, which was released shortly after Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes’ untimely death in Honduras in 2002.
