The Weeknd Hints At 2013 Major Debut Album

It’s been nearly 13 months since fans of the one Toronto’s most talented musicians; The Weeknd has released a full-length project. In 2011, he released three-nine track mixtapes which were House of Balloons, Thursday and Echoes of Silence to follow-up in 2012 with a Trilogy re-release two months ago including 4-new tracks that would debut at No. 1 on US R&B and eventually reach gold status in Canada.

Last night, he took to twitter to hint at the long awaited major debut studio album showing a folder on his desktop computer titled “2013 untitled album” and a side folder titled “2013 art work” seen in the image above. He most recently inked a deal with Universal Republic Records bringing his XO collective label over as well as his upcoming album has now officially moved into one of the most anticipated projects in 2013 we’ll be looking out for.
