With new albums on the way, Young Jeezy, SBTRKT and DJ Mustard decided it was time to reveal the cover art and track listings for their respective upcoming projects, MTV and Spotify joined forces to form a music streaming partnership, Kendrick Lamar graced the cover Complex Magazine while Kanye West took over the cover of GQ.
This week we were presented with plenty of new music from artist like Sam Smith, Wiz Khalifa, Hudson Mohawke, Gucci mane, The Weeknd, among many others. Full length projects came from the likes of Common, K. Roosevelt, Cormega, Majid Jordan, Kool John, Tame Impala and a few others.
With his tenth studio album releasing in-stores and online this week, Common promoted his album by hitting the big screen for a late night performance on the Jimmy Kimmel Live! show and brought out Jhene Aiko and Vince Staples to help perform with the tracks they contributed on. Also hitting the late night stage was Sharon Van Etten, performing on Late Show With David Letterman
