The Musical Transformations of Snoop Dogg

Snoop Dogg performing in Hungary in 2012

Throughout the course of Snoop Dogg‘s career, we’ve seen many sides of him. Some can attribute his chameleon-like ways to being able to switch up and stay relevant for the mainstream. Others might say he lost his way. However you may feel, Snoop has stood the test of time and has had more longevity than damn near all the artists he started with back in 1993. Even if it took him being signed to over a handful of labels (Death Row, RCA, Priority, No Limit, Geffen, Capitol, etc.)

Through over 15 albums and countless mixtapes, Snoop has found ways to reinvent himself and it’s paid off on numerous occasions. You can’t expect one artist to stay the same and recycle the same formula and succeed for over two decades, right?

With a new deal through i am OTHER/Columbia and a project executive produced by Pharrell on the horizon, we look back at some of S-N-Double-O-P’s musical stylings throughout the course of his career. There have been more than you think.
