If you watched last night’s episode of Empire, this song should be very familiar with you. Tiana managed to strike a deal with Cookie for her services because she knew the ex-Lyon wife has the ear. When she first showed this song to Cookie, it was at its beginning stages as a demo, but it got taken to another level when they performed it on the People’s Choice Awards.
Of course this was after Tiana caught Hakeem red handed when she got back home from what was supposed to be a dinner party. The look in her eye during that performance was more “I’m gonna kill you,” then “hey let’s kill it.” The tension was real.
