RIP Ol Dirty Bastard
Those who caught Kendrick Lamar‘s performance on Saturday Night Live last week would know he was dressed a little different than usual. Dot was sporting half braids and black contacts and gave an astounding performance alongside Jay Rock for the second song, bu some fans watching asked if “I” live was inspired by ‘Ol Dirty Bastard or Wu-Tang Clan.
MTV caught up with RZA to ask him his thoughts on his SNL appearance and mentioned the fact that it was ODB’s birthday and the anniversary of Tical that day. He was actually in Los Angeles celebrating the new album on a Kung Fu night and someone told him they felt like Kendrick was paying homage to ‘Dirty. All he could do was respect it, because he misses his close friend.
