It’s been a troublesome past few weeks for Ryan Leslie, but as we all know, these moments can create some of the most unique offerings of music. After the event of a German businessman filing a one million dollar lawsuit against him, Ryan has used the experience as an advantage in terms of converting it into new material for his fans. An exclusive EP and documentary titled Black Mozart is already in the works, not long after the release of his Les Is More album which was released back in October. This is what he had to say about his future plans:
“Black Mozart starts at the moment that I walk out of the courthouse. I wrote the entire album in the two days following the verdict, so the album is written and will be recorded in layers with the strings, horns and potentially a choir in the royal conservatory in Vienna, Austria, one of the homes of some of the most classical music ever written. I’m doing this as an alternative to re-releasing my album with two new songs. The seven new compositions will be great. I’m actually working with somebody. I’ve been watching his career for a minute and I’m very excited about what he’s been bringing to the table musically, so I’ll be bringing Cardiak with me to Vienna.”
As well as this, the multi-talented musician has spoken on venturing on a worldwide tour to accompany his new music, including dates at the Irving Plaza in New York City and a return to the United Kingdom. Expect the combination to be released in the first quarter of 2013.
