Continuing with their interview series with Emilio Sparks, Al Lindstrom catches up with the duo of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis live from New Jersey.
Among the topics discussed, Macklemore says he doesn’t care to fit into a Hip-Hop box they could fit their music into, what it means to them to speak out about equal rights matters in their music and how the game is starting to talk more about the issue.
What’s next for the two? Not too much music as of yet. Ryan reveals they have about 200 shows left to do this year, so they’re trying to find a way to make more music in hopes of finishing another full length-album.
