Raekwon staying consistent for the fans, but we seriously need that F.I.L.A.

Raekwon was recently featured in the latest installment for GQ Barber Lounge at Barclays Brooklyn to discuss his upcoming sixth studio album, Fly International Luxurious Art. With the project due out this fall, the Chef touched on various subjects including hobbies, family life and a sneak peek into one of the features on F.I.L.A..

Interviewer Mark Anthony Green also asked Rae who his non Wu-Tang affiliated top 5 rappers of all-time were. The answers shouldn’t surprise you if you’re an OG.

Peep them discussing the rap game and how the shape up came out below.

He went to cite Rakim, Slick Rick, Kool G. Rap, KRS-One and Chuck D – as well as naming JAY Z the top emcee at the moment. The Chef likes some of the current crop of rappers, but wonders if they’ll maintain relevancy 20 years from now like he and a few of his peers have.
