Preview Songs From Upcoming 2pac Musical “Holler If Ya Hear Me”

R.I.P. 2pac. Gone but never forgotten.

If you haven’t listened to 2pac music for a while, maybe these new musical renditions will bring you back to the catalog. Longtime fans might not love the Holler If Ya Hear Me renditions, considering they’re more watered down and a significant different vibe than the originals. One of the songs is less aggressive, another turned into a blues song, while the last is slightly stripped of the funk from the classic.

Among the songs that Saul Williams will be performing for the musical and are previewed include “California Love,” “Unconditional Love” and the title track “Holler If You Hear Me.” It should be noted that the show will not be auto-biographical in any way, it will just deal with Tupac’s music throughout.

Broadway previews for the Kenny Leon-directed Holler If Ya Hear Me musical go down June 2nd at the Palace Theatre in New York City.
